Led by Professor Cas Shulman-Mora, four Spanish translation and interpretation students had the invaluable opportunity of interning at a United Nations agency this January through the first International Translation and Conference Interpretation Practicum.

Amanda Townsend, Arielle Weisman, Amber Slaton, and Lauren Scott worked as a team at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile. They divided their time between translating documents into English and interpreting in booths during two conferences.
