A 911 medical emergency call originating in Tucson, Arizona was successfully solved with the help of a English-Spanish translator in Costa Rica.
A desperate man speaking only Spanish called 911 stating his wife was ready to give birth. Emergency dispatch operator James Charron called Language Line Services of Monterey, California where they connected him with a translator from Costa Rica on three way. Thanks to an international effort, baby Renatta Ruellas was born healthy into the arms of her parents.
